Upholstery course II – sixth time

Two weeks have passed since the last occasion at my upholstery class. I’ll attend the third course on January 26. This year I have upholstered 12 chairs and 4 armchairs. Here are some of the projects that I’m going to upholster next year. Eventually I’ll upholster a wing chair, too.

Upholstery course II – third time
Today I’ve been working on my two chairs at my course, and at the moment they are resting in my car since it’s pouring outside. I’m going to do some works at home until next time. At the course today I got so inspired by one of the course participants – Linda – when she told me about making furnitures of concrete. I googled and found this nice blog

This is what I did today:

- Anettes fåtölj har en liten annorlunda stoppning- det ser ut som en extra ficka för att skydda fjädrarna.

- Fastredningsstygn på ryggstödet

- En massa nålar går åt – minst 1/cm.

- Grundväven sätts fast på ryggstödet

- Anettes fåtölj ser ut så här just nu

- Kroll och gråvadd under domestiken.

- Nubb istället för sättas fast med häftpistolen så att inte domestiken går sönder.

Searching for fabrics…

I’m searching for fabrics with different patterns and in bluish/petrol colors. Yesterday I managed to find two fabrics that I’ll use on my Emma chair (armchair).

Upholstery Course II – First time
Finally the course in upholstery has started again. It was good to see Linda, Victoria, Sofia (our teacher) again, and Malin whom I haven’t met before.
To this first time I brought two armchairs – one for my oldest daughter (the black one) and one for my younger one (the white). It’s good to have two chairs to work on when you are on a course and need some help – you can always work on the other one while waiting for help.

Måla bord
Idag har det varit en helt underbar dag! Nästan helt klarblå himmel, bara några små molntussar här och där. Jag försöker att avsluta mina pågående projekt innan jag åker till Brighton på söndag så det gäller att jobba på nu.

- Det här bordet ska målas om för bordsskivan är ganska illa skadad på några ställen.
-
- Det var så varmt i växthuset att bordet fick målas om på gräsmattan.
-
- Passar på att klä färdigt karmstol nr 2. Gräsmattan får tjäna som tillklippningsbord.
-
- Tyget ska nitas fast framtill och på sidorna.
-
- Passade på att klä om kökssoffan och de två stolarna i växthuset – när jag ändå höll på.
